CONGRESSMAN ATONG ASILO A LOGICAL CHOICE FOR VICE-MAYOR OF MANILA, PHILIPPINES

ASILO TOP MAN TO BEAT FOR VICE-MAYOR OF THE CAPITAL CITY
By: Ver M. Garcia and Teddy Cho

Introducing to the Manileno a public figure who deserved the support of the masses.
Persons and public figures who did not turned their public office into a Business venture. But served the people's welfare and interest by enacting several legislation into law that is Pro-God, Pro-People and Pro-Filipino.

Congressman Benjamin 'Atong' Asilo a public servant for 31 years, who rose from the ranks, from a humble Barangay Kagawad in 1984 to a congressional representative in 2007 up to present  of the Ist district of Manila is now seeking your mandate. Running under the banner of the Liberal party. A Vice-mayoralty candidate, unblemished by anomalies and corruption, his political career speaks for itself.

A soft-spoken person, humble who always keeps a low profile. Speaks a few words but drives home a point. As a congressman of the Ist district he served his constituent with Dignity,  protected the peoples welfare through a sound  and impeccable legislation. A Boxing  afficionado who authored and co-authored several legislation and gave credence, recognition to the people's champ Manny Pacquiao's outstanding and inspirational performance in defending  the country's honor in Boxing (HR 2056).

Indeed.. He has come a long way, a servant of the masses who helped protect OFW's and Balikbayans hard-earned income and considers tourism an indispensable element of the  National economy which  must be harnessed for Socio-economic growth.

In an interview with the Vice Mayoralty Candidate Atong Asilo when asked about his insights with the Rent Control Law.. He avers that Landlord should not increase their rental not more than the law prescribed and that's not more than 10 percent increase. About the Rental Roll back.. He said that that the government can't interfere with the private sector with regards to the Rental Roll Back. When asked about the environmental concern.. He said that the canals and esteros should be cleared with garbage and other pollutants and declogging of all esteros in the metropolis is necessary.

With Peace and Order problem of the City of Manila. Asilo said that he will coordinate with all agencies concern to make Manila a safer place to live in. When asked about his parting words. Asilo has this to say. "I am very disappointed because my posters were being removed without my knowing it. They should give me a fair chance to prove my mettle as a Candidate for Vice-Mayor of Manila comes May 9 election. (VerGarciaBlog)
