THE GENTLE FLOWERS WHISPER IN THE SWAN LAKE..

By: Arlene de Castro-Anonuevo
The author is an alumni and a graduate of the University of the Phils., Diliman and a great grand niece of our National Hero Gat. Andres Bonifacio. A lover of arts and a visual artist.

My thoughts
Grow flowers
As the wind
Carries your song.

The Swan Portrays Gentleness of Love and Tenderness

And from a distance
I hear
The soft ruffling feathers
It's you
You dance
on a shimmering lake.

                                       The Swan Shimmering Lake

Sweet tenderness
Never the swan of Leda
Forever gentle
When you play the strings
Of my harp.

The Classical Swan Song played in piano and strings.

Le cygne
Sing not your last song
In the softness
Of this dying light
But make my roses embrace
In the sweet stillness
Of the night.

THE FILIPINOS ARE TRULY THE PEOPLE OF GOD.. SAYS POPE FRANCIS

God Is The Real Author Of People's Power...
By: Bro. Ver M. Garcia- ID No. 11197 and Bro. Teddy Cho- ID No. 11211

(Media Accredited Blogger and News Writer for the Papal Visit 2015)

His Holiness Pope Francis I - Thou Art Peter

We hail the International Media Center at the Manila Hotel, Philippines, for being the bastion of democracy and evangelization of the Papal visit.

The Pope, who came and shared his Holiness & Humanity to us as a Pastor, who teaches, a Priest who sanctifies and a Prophet who makes sacrifices to seek and to save the LOST (Luke 19:10). At the core of the Pope's message which brings us closer (in spirit) to CHRIST whose Love & Affection was manifested for the Filipino people & the people of Asia. The Apostolic Mission of the Disciples of JESUS CHRIST & encourages each one of us to remain faithful to the Faith.

The Papal Visit of Pope Francis is the "VICARIUS CHRISTY" not "VICARIUS GENERALI" (Kahalili ng Dios), directs the attention of everyone to Christ who desires  mercy, not sacrifice (Matt.9:13) and one who calls  not only the sinners but those who are: the least (poor street children, the exploited and the abandoned, etc.), the Last (the poorest of the poor), and the Lost (the Corrupt and the purveyors of Evil) in our society.

One of the Youth Volunteer who lose a life serving God Ms. Kristel Padasas, 26 years old.

Radio and  TV Personality Arnold Clavio hosted the event at the UST Papal Visit.

As the Holy Father comes, we looked and gazed upon the Cross of Jesus at the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) quadrangle, the Lord the Giver of Life, gracious and compassionate and we hope to be spiritually renewed and converted in heart and transformed us as a Nation (the Light of Asia). thus, the visit inspires and challenges the Filipino people to live a life of missionary witnessing, proclaiming to all the world God's Mercy and Compassion.

                                                       Replica of the Sto. Nino

The day of the climax of the Mass of the Holy Father Apostolic Pope Francis visits coincides with the feast of Sto. Nino in the Philippines, it's the oldest and one of the most popular in the Philippines. The images were venerated in the Basilica in Cebu for the Filipino Catholics. The Holy Child physically represents a God who is accessible to all (young and old) and can be approached without fear. To a Marian devotee the meaning to ponder the Lady's message No.258 (The Blue Book of Fr. Stefanno Gobbi) were being asked a spiritual childhood for the faithful. Devotion to the Sto. Nino instills and inspires the virtues of simplicity, obedience and trust in GOD (Holy Trinity).

We would like to end this simple message with a Prayer for the Pope:

The Big Crowd and Sea of Humanity at the UST Quadrangle

The Big Turn Out of UST Students and Faculties Populace and Visitors

Our Dear Pope, the Sea of Humanity beckons for your second Papal visit. Truly the Filipinos are the People of God echoed the words of Pope Francis. May the Prayers of the Saints be a guide for those entrusted with the Mission of Light for the New Evangelization in Asia and the rest of the World and may the Light of Christ which is In You, and all the adopted children of God, be justified, in Words, in Thoughts and in Deeds and in our Hearts. And may the Truth which is Christ himself, in Christ and for Christ our Lord and Savior. May the light of Christ be the Light of the World and the World to come. (Message No. 161 p.224-225 The Blue Book by Fr. Stefanno Gobbi).

To those suffering from depression because of oppression, repression and slavery St. Paul admonishes us in Philippians 4:6-9.

Calling all the youths of today.. Our prayer

Philippians 4:6-9New Living Translation (NLT)

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. (VerGarciaBlogs)

Do not dwell on past mistakes.. concentrate and focus on GOD through Mercy and Compassion. A person who dwells in a union with Christ experiences joy and peace. To live is to dedicate oneself to Christ.. not all are ready to consecrate oneself that's why, we have the Blessed Mary as it was quoted in the Bible in one of its seven last words of Christ. John symbolizes the true faithful of our time.

John 19:26-27*
26] When Jesus therefore had seen his mother and the disciple standing whom he loved, he saith to his mother: Woman, behold thy son. [27] After that, he saith to the disciple: Behold thy mother. And from that hour, the disciple took her to his own.

The Blessed Mother since that day (John 19:26-27) up to our time intercedes for us in prayer. His Holiness Pope Francis Jorge Mario Bergoglio speech in Palo, Leyte clearly gives us this insights (My Mama) Mother Mary invites us and intervenes for us to imitate Christ.  In return Christ brings us to be with Mother Mary.

 To quote from Philippians 2:1-15*
He recommends them to unity and humility, and to work out their salvation with fear and trembling.
[1] If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of charity, if any society of the spirit if any bowels of commiseration: [2] Fulfill ye my joy, that you may be of one mind, having the same charity, being of one accord, agreeing in sentiment. [3] Let nothing be done through contention, neither by vain glory: but in humility, let each esteem others better than themselves: [4] Each one not considering the things that are his own, but those that are other men's. [5] For let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

[6] Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man. [8] He humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, even to the death of the cross. [9] For which cause God also hath exalted him, and hath given him a name which is above all names: [10] That in the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth:
The bravery that inspired several people despite the typhoon storm signals Amang. Pope Francis proceeded to Tacloban, Leyte.
1 Corinthian 1-25*
[25] For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
[25] The foolishness: That is to say, what appears foolish to the world in the ways of God, is indeed most wise; and what appears weak is indeed above all the strength and comprehension of man.
[26] For see your vocation, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble: [27] But the foolish things of the world hath God chosen, that he may confound the wise; and the weak things of the world hath God chosen, that he may confound the strong. [28] And the base things of the world, and the things that are contemptible, hath God chosen, and things that are not, that he might bring to nought things that are: [29] That no flesh should glory in his sight. [30] But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and justice, and sanctification, and redemption: speaks about the foolishness of man, if you can relate this verse to Romans 8:26-31. Quotation , if God be with us, who is against us.

Romans 8:26-31*
[26] Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit himself asketh for us with unspeakable groanings. [27] And he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what the Spirit desireth; because he asketh for the saints according to God. [28] And we know that to them that love God, all things work together unto good, to such as, according to his purpose, are called to be saints. [29] For whom he foreknew, he also predestinated to be made conformable to the image of his Son; that he might be the firstborn amongst many brethren. [30] And whom he predestinated, them he also called. And whom he called, them he also justified. And whom he justified, them he also glorified.
[26] Asketh for us: The Spirit is said to ask, and desire for the saints, and to pray in us; inasmuch as he inspireth prayer, and teacheth us to pray. [29] He also predestinated: That is, God hath preordained that all his elect should be conformable to the image of his Son. We must not here offer to pry into the secrets of God's eternal election; only firmly believe that all our good, in time and eternity, flows originally from God's free goodness; and all our evil from man's free will. [31] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who is against us?
We can understand why Pope Francis risked his life but of course, the lives entrusted to  Pope Francis has to be preserved Matthew 8:26-27.

[26] And Jesus saith to them: Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith? Then rising up he commanded the winds and the sea, and there came a great calm. [27] But the men wondered, saying: What manner of man is this, for the winds and the sea obey him? Pope Francis teaches Faith, Hope, and Love and confirms what he teaches through actions and deeds. The plane could have crashed but, 1Cor.1:25-28 speaks loudly.
