KOMISYON SA WIKANG FILIPINO
The Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF), declared that Tagalog is indeed the National Language. During the advent of Commonwealth Pres. Manuel L. Quezon. It was on December 31, 1937 that Tagalog was chosen as the country’s Nationa Language, eventually giving Pres. Quezon the title of ‘Ama ng Wikang Pambansa’ or the father of Nation al Language. It was a rough road and not easy to convince the Filipinos to accept Tagalog as the National Language since we have several languages to consider. In that aspect, the great thinker have found a very reliable source in the person of our National hero Dr. Jose Rizal.. and that translate in a better way to convince the Filipino to accept Tagalog as the mother tongue of the Filipinos by exemplifying a poem entitled “Sa Aking Mga Kababata” or “To My Fellow Youth”
Sa Aking Mga Kababata
Ang hindi magmahal sa kanyang sariling wika..
Mahigit pa sa hayop at malansang isda.
Kaya marapat ang sariling wika pagyamaning kusa..
Na tulad ng isang tunay na nagpala..
One who doesn’t love his native tongue is worse than a putrid fish and a wild best. A native language is truly a great possession and deserves to be loved and cherished.
THE ORDER OF KNIGHTS OF RIZAL
In addition, same with the Order of Knights of Rizal. It was established on December 30, 1911 and was a legislative charter as a civic and patriotic organization on June 14, 1951 by virtue of Republic Act number 646
Dr. Jose Rizal greatness, his genius and great love of country is a source of pride and inspiration for all mankind. To be identified with this extraordinary man is an honor and privilege that all Filipinos must share and emulate.
